Energy360 Product Safety & Intended Use Notice (Prototype / Development Boards) — v1.0
Effective date: 2026-01-01
Applies to: Energy360 Main Board, Power Supply Interface Board, Pot Board, and related prototype/development electronics (“Products”).
Seller: Hancock Holdings Inc. (dba Energy360)
1) Prototype / development product
These Products are prototype/development electronic components intended for knowledgeable users (typical use: motion simulator builders). Unless explicitly stated in writing, Products are not certified to CSA/UL/CE/FCC/ISED or other safety/EMC standards.
2) Electrical limits — 12V DC only
Products are intended for 12V DC systems only.
Do not connect Products to mains voltage (120/240VAC) or any source outside the intended 12V DC system.
Verify polarity and wiring before applying power.
3) Mandatory overcurrent protection (fire prevention)
All Products and any connected wiring must be protected by a 30A fuse (or lower where appropriate).
Using an oversized fuse, bypassing a fuse, or placing the fuse incorrectly can result in overheating, smoke, fire, or damage.
4) Enclosure and mounting requirement
Products must be installed securely inside a suitable enclosure that prevents accidental contact with energized conductors and reduces fire risk. Energy360 recommends a metal enclosure (properly bonded/grounded where applicable) or another enclosure with comparable heat resistance and mechanical protection.
Do not operate Products as exposed circuit boards in areas where they can be touched, shorted, contaminated, or mechanically stressed.
5) Wiring quality and connection heating risk
High-current 12V systems can generate significant heat at poor connections. Buyer is responsible for:
using appropriate wire gauge and insulation,
providing strain relief so terminals cannot loosen,
properly tightening terminal connections,
preventing chafing, pinching, or vibration loosening,
ensuring adequate ventilation and spacing from flammable materials.
Loose terminal connections, undersized wires, or damaged insulation are common causes of overheating and fire.
6) Environmental and handling precautions
Keep Products dry and away from conductive debris (metal shavings, carbon dust, etc.).
Use ESD precautions when handling.
Do not operate near fuels, solvents, or flammable vapors.
Provide adequate clearance from heat-sensitive materials.
7) Buyer assumes responsibility; no support implied
Buyer is responsible for safe design, installation, integration, and operation of any system using the Products, including compliance with applicable laws, codes, and safety requirements. Any assembly or “how-to” documents are provided for convenience only and as-is, with no promise of support.
8) Prohibited / high-risk uses
Products must not be used in life-safety or safety-critical applications, including (but not limited to):
medical or patient-connected systems,
aviation or nuclear systems,
automotive safety systems,
any application where failure could reasonably be expected to cause injury or major property damage.
9) Incident reporting and traceability
If you experience any overheating event, smoke, fire, or near-miss involving Products, notify Energy360 promptly and include:
a description of what happened,
photos,
your invoice/order number, and
affected Product serial/batch ID (if available).
